Sydney Cummins '24 Recruiting Profile

My passion for volleyball drives me to achieve the ultimate goal to play at the collegiate level.   I am dedicated to improving not only my physical self but as well my mental game.  I have a high standard and expectation to give maximum effort at all times.  I am a great fit in the outside hitting position because I am able to see the court and react quickly to make great decisions to hit, block or tip if necessary.  I am a very versatile player, has a great serve; who my coach often looks to when needing consistency and a specific spot on the court.  Not only can I hit, but I am a able to play all around because I am agile, quick and often can help my team by keeping the play alive.   Throughout my life I have played competitive sports and dance.  These have helped me become a better volleyball player.  I aspire to be a role model for younger players on my team, often helping them improve in other aspects.  The value I feel I can bring to a team is tenacity, hustle, leadership, academic excellence and be a great teammate and player. Not only do I value volleyball, but also strive to excel academically.  I am enrolled in many accelerated and honor classes.  My passion is one day to pursue a medical degree and become a surgeon.  My ultimate goal in life is to help people.
